[2009] FOSS4G Sidney - gvSIG Mini. OSM for almost every phone.

gvSIG Mini is the latest GIS for mobile phones. It’s able to display OSM, Microsoft and Yahoo maps, to cache this information on the storage card, calculate routes and search and display addresses and points of interest using OpenStreetMap services.
gvSIG Mini is able to run on almost every phone and its license is GPL.

gvSIG Mini @ FOSS4G 2009

Since I am working at Prodevelop one of the projects I've enjoyed most to work on, has been gvSIG Mini.







This year is going to be presented at FOSS4G Conference in Sidney, Australia, so I am very proud to have participated in the project.

A pilot has been developed aimed to J2ME capable phones and we are currently working on a port of gvSIG Mini to Android, that will look and behave much better.
